Pharrell Teams Up With Adidas

It looks like Pharrell Williams will be adding yet another fashion endeavor to his already impressive resume. It was confirmed on March 27th that the pop icon and world-renowned producer has teamed up with lifestyle brand, Adidas, to produce an exclusive line of apparel and sneakers, a collaboration that has been in speculation for months. The announcement came via a YouTube clip, with the lifting of his now infamous Vivienne Westwood tophat to reveal the Adidas logo.

This certainly isn’t the music mogul’s first venture into the world of fashion; Pharrell is also co-founder of the successful street-wear clothing line, Billionaire Boys Club, and co-owns the eco-friendly textile company Bionic Yarn. A selection of the designs included in his Adidas line will incorporate some of these ‘green’ textiles, which are made from recycled plastic waste.

"Working with an iconic brand like Adidas is such an incredible opportunity. From the classic tracksuit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, Adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless. This is an exciting partnership for both me and for Bionic Yarn," Pharrell told Women’s Wear Daily, in regards to the recent announcement.

Although a specific release date has yet to be announced, the line is set to launch sometime this summer!
