We know bourbon and bowties as some southern favorites, but in the accessories world, this pair represents something all its own. Florida native, Carley Ochs graduated from Florida State's Retail Merchandising program in 2008 and has since been taking the fashion jewelry circuit by storm with her line of one of a kind bangles called Bourbon and Bowties. Each bracelet is adorned with semi precious stones, geodes, quartz, polished coral, shells, coins and other natural stones, wrapped in gold plated wire, all of which are made completely by hand. The line has humble beginnings, starting out in a single Charleston boutique in 2008 but has since exploded in popularity and is currently featured in hundreds of retailers across the country, including Tallahassee’s own, Cole Couture.
These bangles are a perfect way to spice up any style for day or night. The assortment is incredibly diverse, making it easy to find a set suitable for any occasion. For a feminine day-time look, try a bright, monochromatic stack like the one pictured above or take B&B out on Saturday night with bangles featuring darker stones.

Stacked on top of your favorite watch, mixed and matched, or worn individually, Bourbon and Bowties are sure to make their mark on any outfit Although not yet sold online, boutiques carrying pieces from the collection can easily be located on the Bourbon and Bowties Facebook page. I encourage everyone to check them out to add a little diversity to your jewelry collection and support a fellow 'Nole!
